The mission of the NgoRS is to facilitate and promote research into the pathogenesis, epidemiology, and clinical outcomes of the sexually transmitted human pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The NgoRS will help facilitate communication between investigators and help disseminate information regarding the need and availability of reagents or technologies. NgoRS will also act to enhance the training experience of junior researchers in the Neisseria field and encourage new investigators to enter the field. NgoRS will hold regular meetings that will focus on basic science and clinical research aspects of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and gonorrheal infections.
