Please provide the information requested below. To be eligible for this award, both the nominator and nominee must be active Neisseria gonorrhoeae Research Society (NgoRS) members. Additionally, only 1st-authored, peer-reviewed papers from trainees and early-career researchers (within 8 years of their terminal degree; career breaks will be considered on a case-by-case basis) will be considered. If you wish to nominate a first co-authored paper (where the nominee is not the first author listed), there should be a clear demonstration that the nominee made a predominant contribution to the study. Papers that have been previously nominated, but not selected for this award, are eligible for re-nomination, provided all eligibility criteria are still met. Pre-prints will not be considered.

Please send the published PDF (and any supplementary material), along with the completed nomination form, to [email protected] with the subject line ECR Notable Paper. Nominees will be reviewed and selected by a panel comprising NgoRS members without conflict of interest with the nominee.

One paper will be selected tri-annually for nominated papers published, online or in print, within the 9 months before the end of any four months, as noted in the table below. Nominations for each award period are due by the 15th of the 1st month following those four months. However, nominations may be submitted at any time. Papers that have been previously nominated, but not selected for this award, are eligible for re-nomination, provided all eligibility criteria are still applicable. Late nominations will not be accepted/reviewed. The winner will be highlighted on the NgoRS website and in the NgoRS Voice newsletter.
